BIO

Corey Estelle, a native of Houston, Texas, is a tenor who began his career in music, receiving his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Houston Baptist University in 2014. Shortly before graduation Corey Joined Bach Society Houston, singing as a soloist and ensemble member. He had the privilege of collaborating with other early music groups in Houston during this time, such as Mercury Chamber Orchestra and Ars Lyrica Houston. After his third season in Bach Society Houston he returned to his roots of music education, teaching at Hodges Bend Middle School in Fort Bend Independent School District. He served as an assistant choir director from 2016 to 2019, receiving several high ratings in Texas state regulated choir contests.

Despite earning valuable experience in the classroom and improving his teaching skills, he decided to return to graduate school and completed a master's degree in Vocal Performance at University of Southern California’s Thornton School of Music in 2021 while also serving as a Teaching Assistant. During this time, he gained valuable experience singing in several of USC’s opera productions. Since coming to Los Angeles, Corey has performed with The Opera Buffs Inc., Los Angeles Opera, and Long Beach Opera. After completing his masters, Corey applied for the DMA Vocal Arts program at USC and was accepted as a candidate. He is currently in his third year of studies and also serving as a teaching assistant. Currently, Corey is singing with the LA Opera Chorus for the 2023-2024 Season.
